These terms cover your use of pyctom.ca and the 3D rendering work Pyctom Labs Inc. produces. Reading the site means you accept them. Commissioning a project means the quote you signed applies as well, and it comes first.
Who do these terms apply to?
They apply to everyone who uses pyctom.ca, whether you are reading an article, browsing the portfolio or sending an enquiry. If you commission work, they apply alongside the written quote for that project, which takes precedence where the two differ.
Nothing on this page replaces a signed agreement. Treat it as the baseline that applies when no other document says otherwise.
What does Pyctom Labs provide?
Pyctom Labs is a 3D visualization studio. We produce architectural renders, interior and exterior visuals, walkthrough animations, BIM models, floor plans and product visuals for architects, builders, developers, designers and property teams.
The full range is set out on the services page, and recent work is on the portfolio page. Anything shown on this website is an example of past work rather than a promise about your project.
How do quotes, timelines and revisions work?
Every project starts with a written quote covering scope, price, delivery dates and how many rounds of revisions are included. That document governs the work. Anything you ask for beyond the agreed scope is quoted separately before we start it.
Timelines assume we have what we need. A project waits when reference material, approvals or feedback are outstanding, and the delivery date moves by roughly the length of the wait.
An estimate given before we have seen your files is exactly that. The binding figure is the one on the quote issued after we have reviewed the material.
How does payment work?
Payment terms, deposits and invoicing schedules are set out in the quote or invoice for your project. Fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes unless the document says otherwise, and invoices are payable by the date shown on them.
Work may be paused on an account with an overdue invoice. We will tell you before that happens rather than letting a deadline pass quietly.
Who owns the finished renders?
You do, once the project is paid for in full. On final payment, Pyctom Labs assigns you the rights to use the delivered images and animations for your own purposes, including marketing, sales, planning submissions and client presentations.
Two things stay with us. The working files, meaning the scene files, models, textures and project setup used to produce the deliverables, remain ours unless your quote says they are being handed over. And unless we agree otherwise in writing, we keep the right to show the finished work in our portfolio, on this website and in proposals.
Ask us to keep a project confidential and we will. Say so before the work starts, and it will be recorded in the quote.
What do you need to supply for a project to run?
Drawings, CAD files, plans, photographs, brand assets or written references, whichever your project needs. By sending them you confirm you own them or have permission to use them, and that we may use them to produce your work.
That confirmation matters more than it sounds. A render built from a drawing somebody else owns is a problem you would inherit, so if you are unsure about the rights to a file, tell us before you send it.
You are also responsible for the accuracy of what you send. We model what the drawings say. If a dimension is wrong on the plan it will be wrong in the render, and correcting it afterwards is chargeable work.
What are you not allowed to do with this website?
Do not copy, republish or resell the images, animations, articles or page designs on pyctom.ca. Do not scrape the site in bulk, attempt to break into it, or use it to distribute malware or send automated form submissions.
Quoting a short passage from an article with a link back to it is fine and welcome. Reproducing a whole guide, or lifting renders into your own portfolio, is not.
Who owns the content on pyctom.ca?
Pyctom Labs Inc. owns this website and everything on it, including the renders, animations, written guides, layout and code, except where a client project is shown with permission. Trademarks and logos shown belong to their respective owners.
The software behind the site is ours as well. Nothing here grants a licence to reuse it.
What is not guaranteed?
A render shows a design, it does not certify one. Pyctom Labs does not guarantee that a visual will secure planning permission, a permit, a sale or an approval, and nothing on this website is engineering, architectural or legal advice.
The articles in the insights section are general guidance written for a broad audience. Your project may differ from every assumption in them, so treat them as background rather than as instructions.
The website itself is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, and we do not promise it will be free of every error or online without interruption.
What are the limits on liability?
To the extent the law allows, Pyctom Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost sales or project delays. Our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid for that project.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by law, including fraud.
What about links to other websites?
Some pages link to sites Pyctom Labs does not run, including software vendors and reference material. Those links are provided for convenience. We do not control what is on them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Which law applies to these terms?
The laws of Canada and of the province in which Pyctom Labs Inc. is established govern these terms and any dispute arising from them. Claims are brought in the courts of that province unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
If a clause on this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of the page still applies.
How do these terms change?
We update this page when the way we work changes, and the effective date at the top changes with it. Terms already agreed for a live project are not altered by an update to this page.

Terms FAQs
Do these terms replace the quote I signed?
No. The signed quote or proposal for your project comes first. This page fills the gaps it does not cover and applies to anyone using the website, including people who have never commissioned work.
Can I use my renders in my own advertising?
Yes, once the project is paid in full. The delivered images and animations are yours to use in marketing, listings, planning submissions and presentations, with no extra licence fee and no time limit.
Will a render guarantee my planning approval?
No. A visual helps a reviewer understand a design and often makes a submission easier to assess, but the decision belongs to the authority reviewing it. We make no promise about the outcome.
What happens if I cancel a project partway through?
You pay for the work completed up to the point of cancellation, calculated against the stages in your quote. Deposits already paid are applied against that amount. Tell us early and the figure is smaller.
Can Pyctom Labs show my project in its portfolio?
Yes, unless we agree in writing that the project stays private. Ask before the work starts and confidentiality goes into the quote, which is the cleanest way to keep an unannounced development out of public view.
